The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment introduces Principal Artist John Butt playing a spectacular bespoke chamber organ, built to recreate the sounds of Handel's era. Nearly there with the Guildhall School of Music's continuo organ. Finishing touches include making three small stop knobs from English Boxwood. I love this timber and use it often to coat the naturals on my keyboards.
Just started a couple of continuo organs. 3 stops including 8ft Stopped Diapason, 4ft Chimney Flute and the option of a 2ft Fifteenth or an 8ft Regal. These two are for the Guildhall School of Music and Malcolm Greenhalgh. Built in two sections measuring 1M x 1M x 0.6M overall in order to fit in the back of an estate car. More to follow....
First job of 2017 - an overhaul of Malcolm Greenhalgh's 4-stop hire organ made in 2005. Definitely one of the most used organs on the circuit.
